ABOUT GREAT DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

We started here. In Southern

California. In the gap.

GDE is a multicultural branding and strategic communications agency built for the audiences that
have always been here — and too rarely seen in the work.

We believe great brands don’t just advertise—they build authentic relationships. That’s why our
approach blends bilingual branding, digital marketing, and creative design to
ensure your message connects with both English and Spanish-speaking audiences.

The story behind the agency

Before there was Great Digital Experience, there was a pattern Javier Martínez kept noticing — in
boardrooms, in community meetings, in pitch decks and marketing plans across Southern California.

Brands would enter multicultural markets with translated campaigns. Same message, different language.

Same imagery, different caption. And then they'd wonder why the connection never stuck.

Javier had seen what authentic connection actually looked like. Raised with deep ties to the Latino community and shaped by years of project management across international events and large-scale programs, he understood something most agencies didn't: culture isn't a translation problem. It's a strategy problem.

In 2023, he founded Great Digital Experience in Altadena, California — a city that sits at
the crossroads of Southern California's Anglo, Latino, Asian American, and Black communities.
That location isn't incidental. It's instructive.

What shaped this agency

Javier is originally from Colombia, where he worked for over 15 years in web development agencies, leading projects for global brands like Coca-Cola, Accenture, and Johnnie Wlaker.
He led as well, the communications strategy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the digital communication ecosystem across Embassies and Consulates worldwide were unified and redesigned.

Today he is working at the intersection of innovation, community impact, and sustainability. That
experience gave GDE something rare in the agency world: a model for how good ideas become real systems, not just campaigns.

His training in advertising and multi-media creation from Los Andes University as well as Project Manager Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Product Owner certifications, means GDE brings the same discipline to client engagements that he brings to creative work. Strategy that's measurable. Process that's clear. Timelines that hold.

But credentials don't build community trust. Experience does. And the communities GDE serves — Latino, bilingual, multicultural Southern California — are communities Javier has been part of his entire life.

What we actually do — and why it's different

GDE is not a translation agency. We're not a general digital marketing shop with a bilingual add-on.
We are a strategy-first communications agency that specializes in helping companies build real relevance with multicultural audiences — particularly Latino and bilingual communities across
California and beyond.

We start before the content. Before the campaign. Before the caption. We start with clarity — who is this brand actually for, what do they genuinely believe, and how does that translate into a message that a diverse audience will actually trust?

Then we build the systems to deliver that message: brand strategy, bilingual content, AI-supported marketing workflows, web presence, and creative storytelling that reflects the real world your audience lives in.

Strategy before content

We define the narrative before we produce anything. Clarity first, amplification second.

Culture, not translation

Multicultural audiences deserve strategies built around how they actually communicate — not adapted from something else.

Community-rooted

We work with organizations serving the communities we come from. That shapes how we think and what we build.

Disciplined creativity

Creative work without structure doesn't scale. We bring both — and we measure what we build.

The work we're proud of

Our clients share a clear mission, a specific community they're accountable to, and the ambition to communicate at a higher level.

We've worked with youth empowerment organizations building the next generation of diverse storytellers. We've partnered with arts and cultural institutions navigating the intersection of community legacy and digital presence. We've helped founders — many of them women, many of them Latina — develop the communications architecture to match their vision.

That work requires more than marketing skills. It requires trust. Cultural fluency. And a willingness to listen before you write a single word.
